The old dirt road is impassible most of the time unless you've got extra clearance and don't mind a bit of mud. The original corduroy construction still shows through. Before mechanization, roads in this area were lined with logs rather than covered in gravel as they are today. It's a little reminder of days gone by. Old Ontario still survives in small pockets.
